The $25,000 annual Alice award – inaugurated in 2013 and administered by Furthermore grants in publishing, a program of the J. M. Kaplan Fund – is given to a book that represents excellence in all aspects of the work, from idea to design to quality of production. Books short listed for the Alice are each given $5,000.

 

This is the fifth Alice award and $125,000 will have been contributed to institutions in support of illustrated publications when the Alice is presented in November.

 

The Alice will be announced on the Furthermore website
